Whipple Tree and Link Rods

The whipple-tree itself consists of a small collection of linkages which ultimately connect to the dovetail, and connecting rods between those links and the eccentrics on the arbors. There are also a number of shoulder bolts that function as pivots, these will get hex heads later whenever the digital indexer is back on the mill for other parts.

The links are all unique and in many cases have awkward geometry such as dog-legs and tapers on two faces, which can make work-holding difficult. I’m not normally a fan of spending too much effort on aesthetics, but this is a case where rounded end links and tapering profiles are preferred enough to be worth the time.
