Case Nearing Completion

Now with the glass in (and surprisingly on dimension) we can start making the interface hardware. The four corner uprights are each supported with an aluminum pillar screwed into the base, over which the uprights are a slip fit. Uprights have been painted and glass is dry fit. The uprights are slightly longer than the glass so there is a little bit of as-built tolerance to take up with a 3D printed lower edge supports. I’ve had some some difficulties with printing pieces >15” long (the ends like to curl up) so I may segment it into multiple pieces.

Pillars installed on the base with a large 5/16 structural bolt screwed into the base

Uprights installed on the pillars with the roof, and glass installed on all sides (back has a mirror instead).
