Fairly uncommon but not unheard of, this arrangement produces pseudo-sinusoidal linear motions but, similar to the sun and planet gear, it does not have an algebraic solution so we must resort to numerical methods. Notably, this arrangement must be under tension due to the conformal nature of the link between the sector and the arm.
