Quadrant

In my quest to build navigational instruments in roughly chronological order, I have completed my quadrant. It is double-sided, with a sine quadrant on one side and a Gunter’s quadrant on the other. In my pursuit of creating a complete set of plans and build guide for Celestis Nova, I plan to do the same for the quadrant as a much simpler proof of concept. I have found two errors that will be corrected in the final plans: the first relating to the calculation of Asr prayer times, and the second relating to the latitude and solar declination scale on the Gunter’s side. I confess I struggle to follow the use of this side.
