Escapement Testing Continues Pt 2

A kind reviewer has offered an interesting alteration: adding a stop that catches the escapement arms before the rollers contact the cam. While a small amount of energy is lost from less motion pushing the pendulum, it gives the escapement arbor lower drag torque to start before the cam lifts to the roller and starts raising it. While it doesn’t do anything about the variation in friction causing the irregular tick, I think it holds promise by minimizing the effect of this friction on the timing. I have implemented a temporary version of this in the video below and there are some moderate improvements to the timing variation.
